Flunisolide is a prescription medication used to treat chronic asthma. Flunisolide also treats symptoms of seasonal and year-round allergies including sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, and nasal itching. Flunisolide belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids, which help decrease inflammation in the nose.

Flunisolide is available as an inhaler and is usually used twice a day.

This medication comes as a nasal spray. The recommended adult dose is 2 sprays in each nostril twice daily.

Common side effects of flunisolide inhaler include headache and sore throat. 

Common side effects of flunisolide nasal spray include nasal discomfort, after taste, nose bleeds, and headaches.
